Hello! My name is Rebekah Hayden with Sunshine and Laurel Art. Welcome to my blog where I invite you to come alongside me as I navigate this crazy beautiful thing, we call an art journey.

I will share what inspires me, what challenges I face, what keeps me going and more! I will share painting tips and tricks as well as tools and techniques I wish I would have known when I was just starting out.
I am a wife and a mama to two little kiddos, so I know firsthand how hard it is to make time for creative practice. But I also believe that we were created to create, and it is SO important to prioritize time where we can feed into our calling.
My favorite things are being with my family and friends and enjoying the beauty of nature. I am inspired daily by the stunning Colorado mountains, and I spend way too much time staring at the sky. My art journey started when I was a little girl, but I decided to commit myself to it in 2021 when I had my first kiddo. Motherhood and artistry go hand in hand for me and I truly believe the two should fuel one another not be a hinderance.
